Yes, I had another surgery!
Here I am! Thanks to my brother Rich for setting this up for me. Now I am able to post every day if I like.
I was in the hospital for 2 nights following what I'd like to think was my last surgery. Being BRCA1+ if you remember is the genetic test for the Breast/Ovarian Gene. It also predisposes you to Melanoma and I have already had 2 of those. So I knew that I would need to remove my ovaries someday and like other things, I kept putting it off. Once I got my butt to a gyn/onc surgeon for a consult, the subject of my other female organs came up. To go through life worrying about another cancer is too much to bear so I decided to take it all out. I just found out that my maternal grandmother had uterine cancer, not ovarian, so this sealed the deal for me. It was my paternal grandmother who had the ovarian. So even though my mom had the breast cancer, I could have gotten the gene from my dad's side. Very interesting, who know if I have the uterine gene also huh?
So I am home recovering in my usual fashion. It's after 2AM and this is a normal night post op for me.
I have so, so much to post that I don't know where to begin. So this is it for now. I'll start slow and with the addition to this blog site, it should be a breeze to post each day. Honestly I can only handle sitting at my PC for short periods of time. Between my pain and meds my brain is mush and very tired.
Goodnight for now~
Love to you,
Wendy

Hi Wendy! Glad to see you posting again! Get plenty of rest. You need it. I did not know that about Bubi. Interesting. I need to write all this down and keep records so I can give it to the girls when they get older.
I look forward to another posting.
